So I have this really cracktastic idea for an X-Men fic, in which Storm and Marvel Girl, having lived together at the mansion for a while now, have had their monthly cycles synch up, and how the guys deal with Shark Week when a weather-goddess and a telepath/TK are both PMSing at the same time. But (a) the time period for the fic would be really, really old, as in pre-Phoenix-Saga and (b) the idea is a little squicktastic and might also play into unfortunate gender stereotypes, so I'm not sure if I should write it. Would anyone read it in the spirit intended (i.e.: not completely serious)?

If you're a damn funny writer, you could pull it off. But you'd have to be fucking good to get past the cliches. (Also, I know some women do have terrible pre-menstrual symptoms, but it's a stupid stereotype. All that happens to me before my period is that I get sore tits and feel a little gloomy. That isn't exactly a rich vein of comedy gold.)
