You know what's worse than being into a series that nobody else knows about? Being into a band nobody else knows about. Or a whole genre of music nobody knows about. I don't want to be a hipster. ;__;

So what music do you love that you can't find any fans for?

(I'm basically outing myself by saying this but I fucking love Shpongle. It's trippy and engulfing and I love dancing to it. And SunnO))) need more love just for being scary fuckers.)

I LOVE SHPONGLE. Not been keeping up with them properly lately but I first got into them back in 2003. Amazing band.

Every so often I meet a fellow Dar Williams fan and go all melty.

oh my god someone else knows about Shpongle. ALL OF MY LOVE IS FOR YOU, ANON.

(I went to see them in concert this year and it was amazing - Simon Posford is so gregarious and loves his fans so much, and people were even singing along to what lyrics there are in Shpongle songs.)

I wouldn't call myself a Dar Williams fan, exactly, but "As Cool As I Am" is like the best song ever.

The Polyphonic Spree. People either don't know who they are at all or vaguely remember "Light And Day" but nothing else.

Also a whole bunch of local bands that broke up like ten years ago, but nobody else gives a shit about them so I just suck and deal.

John Vanderslice.. he is hands down my favourite artist, ever, and I don't get why he is so underappreciated. I guess he has a bigger following in the States and particularly in California, but goddamn nobody seems to have ANY clue who he is.
