That sucks. I'm sorry. Some people (who am I kidding? A LOT of people) are self-absorbed. It's always about them and when it's not, then they don't care. I haven't spoken to a friend for about 8 months now because she's done that sort of shit one too many times. First real big offense was when a close relative of mine died. I told her about it and she invited me out for a walk which I thought was decent of her because I needed someone to talk to. I meet up with her and this guy is with her. She introduces him to me as her new boyfriend. He notices something's wrong because I've been crying and I tell him. He sympathizes and my friend starts talking about him. Her new boyfriend. About how they met, his job, his car, his family, everything. I tell her I'm not in the mood and she complains that's why she wanted to meet up with me. I say I'm going home and leave. 2nd offense, I had minor surgery. It wasn't a big deal and I recovered within 3 months. I bumped into her (and her boyfriend) and she asks me what I've been up to. I tell her about the surgery and she literally gives me the, "Oh, that's nice." reply and goes on to talk about her work or some stupid shit. Her boyfriend is the one who asked me if I was feeling better and was sympathetic. I knew after that I was done with her. I don't know why he was dating her. I'm pretty sure she was just using him for his car anyways. I also supported her whenever she was feeling down. I'd indulge her wanting to go out even though I was broke because it'd make her feel better. I went to her place to stay over and watch stupid movies after breakups. She's just selfish.
