My only problem with this movie so far is the fact that the apes have no genitals.

I know this sounds weird. But it ALWAYS creeps me out when they do this to realistically looking CGI animals. It looks unnatural, like they cut off/cut out their own genitals.

Usually you don't mind if real animals in movies have genitals, so why do you remove them when you re-create an animal with your computer? Are people too ashamed of modeling them or what? XD

"I'm a CGI artist."
"Oh! What have you done recently?"
"I did the genitals for the apes in Rise of the Planet of--hey, come back!"

I've never noticed the lack of genitals on CGI animals, and frankly I feel really really good about that.
