I used to ship them pretty hard even though I knew it wouldn't happen. Dunno what happened but somewhere along the line I just stopped caring (probably when I got more interested in James/Lily than the love lives of the trio). Now I'm fine with R/Hr and H/G. But I still remember all the reasons I loved Harry/Hermione, and I don't think anyone is delusional to prefer it. They do have a kickass friendship in canon and I hate when R/Hr fans piss all over it just because they don't like the ship.
