I'm a big Ron/Hermione shipper, but I can understand the people who ship Harry/Hermione. They're best friends and they do a lot together. Hermione is much more understanding and patient with Harry, especially when Ron's being a twat. But to me, they've always come across is platonic friends. That's the reason why I can't ship Harry/Hermione. It actually annoys me that people expect the best friends who are male and female to hook up. There are friends who never hook up, even if people think they would pair up well together.

TBH I began to ship Harry/Ginny because the Harry/Hermione shippers who kept berating me to STFU were really aggressive, and I also knew that Harry and Ginny would hook up eventually, especially in the second book.
