I never minded H/Hr as a pairing but they gave off such a brother/sister vibe that I knew they would never happen combined with how obvious it was that Ron & Hermione obviously liked each other as more than just friends, Harry never thought of Hermione like that.

I enjoy all pairings in fanon but as far as canon goes it's not like it's impossible for a boy and girl to be close friends without ending up together. Familial love can is important too ya know.
