Actually, I think even partly white hair is okay. I get why people don't like it because the ageing/mortality connotations, but on a purely aesthetic level I don't really see the problem.

I'm a bit surprised at the OP knowing they will be completely white-haired before they reach thirty though.

I'm barely into my twenties and noticed some white hairs, cue freak out.

Well after looking into it, it turns out my mother and uncles were all completely white haired by thirty, and dye (I was aware of that, just not why). This is snow white mind, not dirty greyish or anything, so like you say - there'll be some aesthetic uniqueness.

Seems really rare though, all the research I’ve found only has this happening to Asians, and I’m white.

Well, how well do you know you family tree? Because these things can slumber in the genes for a few generations? And you might still look entirely while a few generations down the line.

That, and spontaneous gene mutation do happen.

Grandmother is the same I believe.

However, all my family are either Northern Irish (one of, if not the, most white countries in the world) or were honest to god Nazis. So if my great grandmother or something was asian there'd be a fascinating story there I imagine.

I'll subscribe to the unique mutation theory.

Groovy mutation~

It happened to a friend of mine in college - he was salt-and-pepper his freshman year and getting more hoary every year - and he was a mix of Austrian, Russian, and Ashkenazic Jew, mostly the latter.

Hell no. My Granddad isn't Asian, and his went white around twenty-seven. Never happened to his kids, though, or to me. I guess the white-haired gene got watered down by marriage?

I think it looks really cool on some people, especially those who have like a stripe or fringe. But it sort of depends.

I really think it depends. There was a kid I knew in high school with a white forelock (I think from vitiligo, but I'm not sure) and it looked pretty terrible next to the rest of his naturally dirty blond hair. :/ All white or salt-and-pepper hair is pretty cool, though.

Not the OP, but I have a pretty good idea that I'll be mostly, if not completely, white by the time I'm thirty. My grandmother's hair was completely white by the time she was thirty and a number of other women in my family went grey/white prematurely. The rate at which my hair is turning white also makes me think it will probably be mostly/completely white by the time I'm in my early thirties.

I think you can make a pretty accurate guess if you have a family history of that kind of thing and find that you are finding a lot of white hairs in your twenties.
