I too have a r/l friend who writes fanfc also. But we're mostly in different fandoms, and have different pairing...and I think I sort of like it that way.

To be fair, I think the image of Leo in the sky is from the 1997 movie, not the original series.
(Although the original series had his mother appear in the stars to guide him)

Plus there's the silly sidekicks in both, the primate friend, the enemy with a scar over the eye, the 3 henchmen, the fact that Simba was originally going to be white...

The evidence is pretty damning overall!

I feel that way every time DC decides to reboot and pretty much undo decades worth of character development, and replacing previous canon with bad ideas that by GOD makes you wonder why they think it's a good idea in the first place, or they fuck up other good characters.

I for one was never able to forgive DC for offing Helena Wayne's Huntress (just when she was starting to evolve as a character) because they wanted to get rid of the multiverse, but for some odd reason they decided to keep Power Girl despite being part of the multiverse, and changing her origin on TOP of that so that she was no longer related to Superman or part of the multiverse. That to me was just one of DC's biggest fuck-ups during a reboot.

With this recent reboot, I'm still not thrilled about retconning ALL of the character development Barbara Gordon underwent as Oracle just to get her back as Batgirl, and even less so since it looks like her time as Oracle will be considerably shorter than it was originally. *Facepalm*

Its' my favourite Gundam too! Apparently it's too old for the new fen, and too new for the old (and the old!fen seems to think it contains bishonen wtf). I also at least like all the characters, and love many of them. 1x2 is my OTP though!
