You're not alone! I love all the characters, including the women and ESPECIALLY Relena. I don't ship EVERY combination of pairings, but everything I do ship is pretty close to canon (6x9, 1xR, 3x4... what, that last one's not canon? What are you talking about, it totally is! :P)

So am I and wow. Watching it after ten years of Real Life Experience, I can better appreciate how wonderfully fucked up most of the characters are. I ♥ Relena to pieces, but holy shit Quatre and Zechs scare the hell out of me now.

I'm a bit of a nutcase, in that I rewatch it about once a year, maybe a little less, maybe a little more. But yeah, watching it when you're older, you start to notice a whole bunch of things. Not to mention the wacky political manipulating and lofty ideals suddenly make a lot more sense.

Zechs is pretty scary, but Quatre's my favorite. I love his character arc, and the episodes where he goes insane are my favorites out of the whole series. Why does he scare you?

I want to marry that icon as well. I'm not a fan of that song exactly, but I saw it and just had to have it. It's perfect.

The Quatre-goes-batshit arc sorta made me realize that yes, he may dress in pink and play a mean violin, but the boy buys stock in Sports Illustrated for all the issues he has, and he's frightening enough when pushed to his limit even without a computer fucking with his mind.

Though I attribute a good 90% of my Quatre-fear to Brad Swaile and that laugh from the end of ep. 21.

I love all of their issues! That's what makes them so endearing. It might be a creepy kind of endearing, but it's still endearing.

Oh god, that laugh. It's creepy as fuck the first couple times, but now that I've watched him try to recreate it at conventions a million times on Youtube, it doesn't hold the same power for me.

I've seen a couple of the Youtube clips, but it doesn't matter. Every single time I rewatch that episode, I have the urge to cower under the bed with my cat and whimper pitifully because goddamn that is creepy, and especially so coming out of him. Though it's not just the laugh itself, it's the laugh in the context of that entire episode that makes it particularly chilling.

For the record, Mark Hildreth's psychotic laugh from the first episode will never stop scaring the shit out of me no matter how many times I know it's coming.

*high-fives* YES Relena is my second-favorite character, next to Heero, but in most of the GW fandom, apparently shipping 1XR is "doing it wrong", IDK.
