I thought this scene was great, honestly. It's not so often you see homosexual and a heterosexual sex scenes superposed that way, treated the exact same way, as if they was no difference in rating or in taboo in them. I was quite impressed.

It took me a while to realise it too, because there was no special emphasis on it either, in the episode. It wasn't all "look how ~open-minded we are!" It was just well, Rex sleeps with this doctor, Jack sleeps with some bloke he met, no biggie.

It's obviously not be de-gayed, but that doesn't mean that moving it to America hasn't ruined it. This is in no way the Torchwood that I have grown to love.
