I don't want to get drawn into this, but I think in this particular case this argument is flawed. These are not fictional children in canon (except in a few, rare flashbacks) - SPN is about 2 grown men. If you are specifically de-aging them so that they are children, obviously them being children in the story is an important quality. They would likely have most of the same personality traits and qualities in stories where they are canon-aged, but you don't care about those qualities - you want them to be children. And then you want them to fight over a dick. That's just... it's clearly the "child" traits that you want to read about.

If it's the vulnerability or the innocence, etc. that the prompt-writer wants, there are lots of other ways to portray that in fiction without making the characters children.
