kink =/= sexual fetish

A sexual fetish means that you require certain elements to be present in order to be aroused AT ALL and NOTHING ELSE can do it.

A kink is preference in what arouses you. Bob is straight and naked ladies arouse him, but he likes it better if the naked ladies are Asian.

By using these words interchangeably, I think people lose the nuances of sex and sexual function.

Erm, mental health professionals may not agree with me, but I think there is slightly more range to "fetish," than that - otherwise, fetishes are so rare that having the term at all is practically an intellectual exercise. I haven't observed most people who'd consider themselves fetishists to be totally sexually incapable without it. Just that said capability is significantly reduced.

I mean, what if you need something to be present about 80-90% of the time, but not 100% of the time? Is it wrong to call that a fetish? Because I don't think calling it a "kink" would get the importance of it across.
