You just made me think of something - are there any Frey stans? I've NEVER run into one. There are Theon stans, there are even Ramsay stans. Almost every character you can think of, no matter how detestable, has SOMEONE who likes em (even the Mountain That Rides), but I can't say the Freys do as far as I know.

I think his behavior towards the captain's daughter is borderline. She's ultimately willing, but he's also has a lot of power over her and uses it. And basically, he gets on board and is like, "I'll take that one" and no one can do much about it. He's clearly a man who feels entirely entitled to women and sex whenever he wants it and doesn't like hearing the word "no."

It's sort of like the argument over whether Dany's wedding night (in the books) is rape, I guess. Like, yeah, she says yes, but she also doesn't have much choice in the matter and just got sold to a man.

I don't think anyone actually likes Ramsay as a person. I hope. So far I've only run across people who appreciate him as an interesting villain. I'm more surprised about people saying that about the Mountain, because that guy barely has a personality beyond liking to kill and torture and rape people.

The only people I've met who "like" Gregor find him hilariously cartoonish, so I've been able to discount that. A Blog of Ice and Fire basically turned him into a really evil version of The Hulk for me.

Okay, that makes more sense. Because I get finding Ramsay interesting, but Gregor is really too much of a cartoon to be interesting in any way. The guy doesn't even get some angsty background story as to why he turned into a monster.

I think the problem of the Freys is that they don't have the bamfy coolness to make up for doing horrible things. Fans are willing to overlook the most horrible deeds if the one committing them is a cool villain, who's smart and cunning and badass, who says snarky, witty lines, who has moments in which you can't help but admire them no matter how evil they are. (Which is why I don't get why anyone would like the Mountain, because he has none of that.) But the Freys? Walder Frey is a horny, power-hungry old man, and even planning the Red Wedding didn't require all that much cunning. Half of it was Tywin's work anyway, and Robb was naive enough to walk into the trap without any fight. Neither Walder Frey nor any of his numerous relatives ever did anything really impressive.

Anyway, nobody likes the Freys 'cause they're ugly~. And they killed Robb and Cat and defiled thier bodies in a terrible, insulting way and just about everyone who reads the series starts out on Team Stark. For the others, I guess Ramsay is a source of guro and the Mountain kicks ass while being a terrible person or he has zombie appeal now, idk.

Well, people may like Rosalin Frey.
