Jon was so badass in the scene with Slynt. I believe that was the first time I actually LIKED Jon instead of just being kind of indifferent about him. He and Stannis can go and talk about justice and duty. Duty is totally a kink, right? ;) Glad anyone would wanna read fic about them. ^^

I hate Melisandre all the more because I worship the ground Stannis walks on. Davos could kill her to rescue his king. I always felt that in a way Stannis deserved Davos more than anyone else. Davos is probably THE most loyal character in the entire series, but he's also the ONLY true ally Stannis has. The only one he can rely on completely - despite the fact that Stannis is one of the few lords in the kingdoms who's not just power-hungry and vain, but actually cares more about the greater picture than his personal power. It's like Davos is all on his own making up for the fact that nobody else ever gave Stannis the tiniest shred of love and gratitude. And while Stannis and Jon make perfect allies and could probably get along great, they'd hardly ever get to that level of devotion that Stannis and Davos have. So, no conflict, yay.
