I feel like the "only men are supposed to wear them" argument is kind of gross. Yes, it's ignorant and wrong for white people to appropriate headdresses for kawaii funtimes wearing, but it's no more wrong if a woman does it than if a man does it. Sexism isn't okay if it's an indigenous culture perpetrating it.

Non-Native American people don't have a right comment on what is or is not sexist in another culture. Also, it turned out I was wrong anyways, so this point is moot.
