Man you are the one getting all weepy about the fact that Snape is seen as a weirdo for his "pure love." I'm pointing out that it was NOT love. You can't keep just changing the topic of the debate when you start realizing you're wrong goddamn

I don't disagree with a single thing in this comment. Bravo, sir.

I am pretty much aware that it was not love. Or real love. But that doesn't matter. Because the obsession was what was capable of letting Snape change sides. It's why Harry said he was "the bravest man he ever knew." My god, can't you people give him that? Isn't that what his entire story arc was about? You can do great, noble, courageous things for COMPLETELY SELFISH AND FUCKED UP INTENTIONS!?!?!
