...What is Pottermore?

What keeps getting repeated is that it's going to be a new interactive way to read through the Harry Potter books. It's supposed to be free, but then they say there will be a shop were you can buy e-books from. The only place online you'll be able to.
There are little tidbits and hints about being able to experience certain scenes in the book. Such as getting sorted by the sorting hat, shopping for wizard supplies in Diagon Alley, and earning points towards the House Cup. JKR has also noted that she has put in little bits of trivia about the characters and world that have never been released before.
Give it another week or two and the beta testers will be posting crap about it everywhere. It doesn't open up to everyone else until October.
