I do think some characters from original fiction can be MS: Ayla of the Zelandonii or whatever comes to my mind right now. She didn't start like one but she stepped into MS territory in the second book and right now she's almost a joke. I haven't read the last book, but I'm sure that she must have found out how to make heart transplants by now.

Indeed, there are some Sues from original fiction. Bella Swan from Twilight is a perfect example.

I didn't know the term MS when I was reading those books, but there was a moment it started to be ridiculous. It's a pity, because I think the first one is pretty good, and I really love to read about different cultures. But if I read one more time how gorgeous she is or how huge is Jondalar's cock, I think I'm going to throw up XD

Also, try anything by Stephen King, I can't even count the number of amazing, intelligent, handsome and loyal protagonists he's written who also happen to be famous horror authors.
