The problem is that cynicism is seen as intelligence, and people think they seem more impressive while hating something than enjoying it.
I completely agree with you! It's also the reason why many people see happy, cheerful folks as being shallow, unrealistic, and stupid when most of the time that's not the case at all. This kind of thinking really irritates me because it suppresses a lot of people from just letting go, completely enjoying what they love, and being happy.
