This might be leaping to the worst possible conclusion, but given the circumstances in some parts of this planet, certainly, having an ordinary youth is a lot better than getting some sort of 'adventure' and then having it turn out badly. Riveting peril and dangerous adventure is, yeah, dangerous. I'd probably be grateful for the security of being 'ordinary' if you were allowed to do what you liked otherwise! Like go on adventures that probably won't kill you!

But I like that your smiley looks like he has beard-stubble.

The thing is, I didn't have an ordinary youth, exactly. It even felt like if somebody I knew would have a wild adventure, it would be me. It just...never really turned out that way.

Oh. I'm sorry you feel like it kind of turned out disappointing, but... hm, that's an odd thing to hear. But feeling like there's missing is no fun. I wonder what will happen...
