Have you checked out the Thor: Tales of Asgard DVD? It has awesome brother adventures with a nice side of Warriors Three/Sif.

Yeah, I thought evil!Loki was really lame. It would've been awesome if the movie had been them just being bros.

On the one hand, it wouldn't be terribly true to the source material.

On the other hand, I've always wondered if the portrayal of Loki as eeeeeeevil, the cause of the End Of The World, etc. isn't at least partly tacked onto the Norse myths by their mostly-Christian redactors casting him in a role parallel to Satan - he seems more amoral to me. There are a couple of myths where there's much more of the vibe of the Big Jock On Campus and his brother the Class Clown going around being badass and beating up giants.

You're not alone, anon. I actually found Loki's fall into evil totally unbelievable in the movie. It's like he's this sweet, sort of shy guy who is the voice of reason with his over-emotional, over-reacting older brother, then suddenly BAM! I'M EVIL! I didn't even think his motivation was believable.

Me too! I mean, I can totally get the "my brother is a nutjob but he's still going to get the throne" mentality, but if Odin had been a better parent...or maybe if Loki hadn't been a frost giant...I just think it's a shame.

...this is an unpopular opinion? Damn, because I share it 100%. I would have preferred if Loki hadn't been the Big Bad, or if he'd been a bit of a douche but then banded with his brother against a greater threat, etc. "Jealous of my big brother getting the throne" is one thing, "plotting to kill my father" is quite another...

Don't worry anon, I agree completely. As you can tell from the previous replies, we are definitely not alone. :D

I think by the sheer amount of pre-movie brodinsons stuff floating around out there, a lot of fandom would agree with your opinion.

Not that i don't like crazy loki (he's cool in a demented sort of way) but I'd really like to see the brothers in happier times! Something in the vein of the tales of asgard cartoon movie. yeah. i want a teen thor and loki tv show really badly D:

More Loki is never a bad thing. It would have been fun to see more of Loki and Thor before things went... awry.

But I love Loki unabashedly, so right now I really just want him to survive the Avengers movie. ::crosses fingers:: Let him get redeemed, damn it!

Aw, I love crazy angst ridden Loki (I feel bad so I'm going to kill a bunch of people!) but I like cracky stories about them having nice brotherly adventures too, and I don't even care that it's dumb. :D

i... i... during this movie i was just staring at Tom Hiddleston and he was walking around manipulating people and crying and full of complexes...

i kind of liked that

but actually i really like your idea OP!!! i think it's super cute and i would have loved seeing more of their various silly interactions. (:
