One of the most prominent characters of the series? Really?

I would have loved for Fred's death scene to have been more in tune with the book, and I certainly would have loved a bigger to-do in the Great Hall...but I kind of feel like maybe you weren't paying enough attention if you got nothing out of what was there (and in fact almost missed it entirely).

I was very touched by the scene. Idk, it would be nice having more, but I was satisfied with what we got.

Really? Maybe I was having trouble concentrating because of all the excitement, but I agree that Fred's death was a very blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment. If I hadn't read the books, I would have had no idea who died. Obviously it was a Weasley, but I don't even think we saw Fred's body to confirm it. There was only the Weasley family breaking down and crying, then the film jumped straight onto the flashback scenes involving Snape.

I agree with OP that it wasn't enough, but I also agree with the above commenters saying "one of the most prominent? Really?"
