Ah, I read that book a long time ago, and I don't remember it so well, but I do remember loving it. And the message was wonderful.. if I'm remembering correctly, it ended with him realizing that the world, the boring old real world, was full of puzzles to solve and books to read and songs to sing and stuff, and that he had no business being bored. I love that. So many fantasy-type books make it seem like the real world suck and you need magic for things to be awesome; and I loved this book for showing me that how awesome my life is rests largely in the hands of me, my mind, and my imagination. (If there was another moral that related more to the plot where he was actually in whateverland and that's what you were referring to, I apologize). I mean, it's not always true for everyone, but it sort of gives you hope.
