I hadn't re-read CoS in YEARS and when I finally did a month or so ago, I had a new appreciation for it. Not for the compelling storyline or anything, but because Gilderoy Lockhart is fucking HILARIOUS and the idea of cutting up almost human-formed plants to cure people is creepy and I'm so happy JKR went there.

Yeah, I've always thought CoS is hands down the funniest of all the books. I can see why people like the action-y, plot-move-y books better, but it always makes me giggle.
