Why (south) Australia?

Like I get the goon connection, but are you saying they're all criminals, serial killing sex offenders, obese? C'mon, South Africa would be much more fitting if you're going for that.

Something Awful is often abbreviated to SA. So is South Australia.

At least, I think that's the connection there. I could be wrong, that's just how I read it.

lolll it took me a while as well to understand that SA = Something Awful too! I'm from SA and whenever I see 'SA Goons' I read it as 'South Australian Something Awful Goons' which is...yeah.
