...As someone who had depression for 2.5 years and who relapsed a couple of years' ago... I kind of believe that you still need therapy. I'm not trying to be patronising but ime therapy helps combat the problem by facing it head on and allowing you to view your life from different perspectives whereas constant video game play just represses the problem to the back of your mind where it sits and and doesn't go anywhere. I'm not saying give up gaming cold turkey cos that's not helpful either, but I would ease yourself off a bit in tiny steps and still go to therapy, take meds, exercise and keep up healthy diet.

A couple of years' ago I relapsed while I was in the middle of my school semester and honestly, it wasn't video games that saved me, it was the school counsellor.

I still could use it, yeah. Part of why I say it helped more than my therapist did is that my therapist wasn't very good (at least, for me). Unfortunately I'm not in a situation to get a new one -- I'm still having financial trouble from the last one due to tremendous fuckups by the company that handled their billing. Hopefully I can go back to therapy and get a better therapist in the future.

That's ok no problem =) I'm sorry to hear about the therapist being not very good and the financial fuck-ups - that's the last thing you need (financial problems can drag me right back down). I really hope it works out for you, honestly.
