Why don't you start a kinkmeme for your fandom?

Not OP, but if they're in the position I'm in, their fandom simply isn't big enough to host their own fic community or kink meme. I'm in a lot of fandoms and a lot of them are quiet/small.

Have to say, if anyone starts up an all-fandom kink meme, I'd be one of the first in line. I share your pain, OP. (Not on the tentacle thing, but on the kink thing in general. Heh.)

General multi-fandom kink memes just don't work, though. They tend to get overrun by a couple of particular fandoms (often fandoms big enough to support their own kink meme) which breeds resentment towards those fandoms, and smaller fandoms get pushed aside, which can be very disheartening.

Now, if it's a multi-fandom kink meme centred around a particular theme, for instance a tentacle kink meme, then it's more likely to succeed. The above scenario may still happen but it'll be much more limited if prompters can only work inside the theme, rather than prompting for anything within their fandom. After all, there are only so many ways to ask for tentacle fic featuring any one particular pairing...

tentacle_fest which are full of people who enjoy the fun of tentacle kink. While you can't post anonymously, you could always set up a sock account just for posting kink fic. :)

I miss the days where people posted stuff on adultfanfiction.net. :(

Why? The layout's almost as bad as ff.net, and it has that really obnoxious STATE YOUR ACTUAL DATE OF BIRTH OR THE LAW WILL GET YOOOOOOU page at the beginning. That page ensures that despite the fact I'm well over 21, I won't touch that site with a very long stick.

If your fandom is too small for a kink meme, what about starting a tentacle porn style kink meme instead? It could be open to all fandoms, with the emphasis being on that sort of porn. Sort of like the comms posted, but then you could be anon. In fact, I'd use one of those comms if possible (anon posting is on) to run it!

I feel your pain, anon. Not necessarily with tentacles, but there are other kinks that I was super embarrassed to post. I'm glad I did, though - you may have a fellow tentacle lover in your fandom and just not know it! Or introduce someone else to 'em.
