I think the writers being terrible is kind of a bigger problem. I mean, Cuddy was there at the beginning when the show was 'good'. That the writers started writing shitty stories involving her isn't really the character's fault.

Thank you. As if Cuddy is the main reason the show's gone bad. Not to mention that with Edelstein gone the only female character of the series's beginning goes with her. Now I read that Criminal Minds had a similar problem. Where's the House fandom outrage?

MTE! I've also been told that I was a bad person for not forgiving House for what he did in the last episode... I mean... what?

This, this, so much this. I love "5 to 9", and that was in the sixth season! It woke me up out of the rut I felt the show was in, and I just think the writers failed so much with her starting at the very end of S6, and that they could've tried harder with her.

You and me both, OP. Good riddance to her and the romance.

I like Cuudy. I liked the idea of House/Cuddy. The execution was awful.

Really, ridiculously awful tbh. Could not have been worse even if they'd tried.

I didn't exactly "ship" it but I thought it made perfect sense... until it happened.

Of course the blame is on the one woman who's been there since the very first episode, when it was 'good'.

She also had a far lesser role in the beginning, just being there to be a proverbial roadblock in cases and his boss.

No, they still have House to butcher and play with as crazy as they want...so I don't think her absence will really change anything.

They ruined the character of Cuddy in season 5, and it has just went down hill since then. I am very glad LE decided to leave because it was painful to watch her try to work with the crappy material they gave her.

It's not her fault the show went to shit and her leaving isn't going to rescue it. Frankly I'm done with House since I know they won't write him as being remotely repentant for what he did.

Nah, I don't think anyone would get on your case about it. The writers have been complete shit at handling her character development and her relationship with House. Huddy could have been what kept the series from spiralling into the same old, same old - instead they made it into a bloody vehicle for that.

The show started sucking when they got rid of the original team, it wasn't Cuddy's fault.

Ha! I was excited too. I don't really like her either. :-/

I'm glad she's gone too. Thrilled, actually. Cuddy and Huddy was handled horribly over the last few years and it's the reason I stopped watching. Having said that, I don't think the show is going to be good again. It's too late for that and they've made mistakes other than Huddy. The show's still going to suck IMO.

All the main characters have been written so poorly for so long that Thirteen is the most sympathetic character on the show at this point. Cuddy is pretty close to being the least of the show's problems.

I agree that it's not LE fault. As soon as House & Cuddy became an item the show jumped the shark. Those two are great actors, but they couldn't sell me on the pairing. They seemed very awkward to me and a disaster waiting to happen...the creators are out of ideas. Sometimes UST between leads should remain that way (Scrubs, Moonlighting)
