I think the writers being terrible is kind of a bigger problem. I mean, Cuddy was there at the beginning when the show was 'good'. That the writers started writing shitty stories involving her isn't really the character's fault.

Thank you. As if Cuddy is the main reason the show's gone bad. Not to mention that with Edelstein gone the only female character of the series's beginning goes with her. Now I read that Criminal Minds had a similar problem. Where's the House fandom outrage?

She broke up with him.

She broke up with him and he lost it. Details may be off, since it's been awhile since I've seen it, but as I recall... She started dating someone else, House dropped by and saw them eating dinner together with her daughter and I believe her mother. The last thing we see is him driving his car into the house where they were sitting at the table. She, her new bf, her daughter, and mother basically left the room just in the nick of time.

I don't trust the House writers at this point not to try to spin it as a positive thing somehow. The way they have treated everything this last season is horrific, and my husband (who is a huge fan of the show prior to this) and I aren't sure if we're picking it up next season.

This, this, so much this. I love "5 to 9", and that was in the sixth season! It woke me up out of the rut I felt the show was in, and I just think the writers failed so much with her starting at the very end of S6, and that they could've tried harder with her.
