i'm kind of in the school of thought that says misandry doesn't exist - certainly not in the same way as misogyny, in that there isn't the systematic oppression that women face - but equally it's kind of hurtful to be shot down on issues of misogyny on the basis that "you're a man so you don't know what you're talking about!". because, yes, i'm a man, but i DO experience misogyny because i'm perceived to be a woman by most people.

I'd say that's a different issue from the existence or lack thereof of misandry. The misogyny you've experienced is real, even though you're not a woman.

please....what most fanbois call misandry is just impotent rage about not being superior to girls anymore. You see it on tv all the time, everytime some right wing mouthpiece goes on about the feminist agenda what they really mean is "they won't get back in the kitchen and just make babies, them wimmens think they are equal and I can't boss 'em about anymore".

Clue: Not being allowed to dictate others lives is not the same as being oppressed.

while i agree about things like what you've said about opinions on the 'feminist agenda', it's also kind of hurtful to be told "shut up you're not entitled to an opinion" even for guys who have experienced misogyny because they're not cis. or being told that we're not allowed to have an opinion on anything or feel oppressed because we have male privilege and that totally overrules any other oppression that ftm guys face. even ignoring the fact that the male privilege that ftm guys get isn't the same level of privilege that cisguys have anyway.

In Psychonauts, there's a bit where what are very obvious spies 'disguise' themselves with items like a stop sign, hedge clippers, and a toilet plunger. Both the icon and my second quote happen if you hold the rolling pin near a spy wearing an apron.

It's essentially the most amusing and underrated game of 2005: You play a ten year old boy who has run away TO summer camp for kids with psychic powers. The psychic camp counsellors call your parents because of course you're not enrolled, but then someone starts stealing brains, so you start leaping into minds to help people and save the world.

The G-men exist in the mind of a scared paranoid schizophrenic, but my favorite level is the one where you become Kidzilla in a city of really tiny talking screaming fish.

Yeah, it's like that. And it's fantastic.
