I mean your kids in life could get hurt in various ways you can't control or even hurt someone else at some point (whether accidentally or intentionally) in life. But them not liking Harry Potter a series which has some fun things but definitly isn't perfect or for everyone is your biggest fear?
I'll parphrase a Ron line (badly as it's from old memories) and say:
You need to have your priorities sorted out.

Harry Potter isn't perfect at all to begin with and isn't for everyone and even if it was the best book series in the world with 99.9% of readers loving it with all their hearts (which it isn't nor does it produce such a number of devotees with readers who try it out), it doesn't matter a damn thing if someone likes it or not let alone kids.
At all.
I mean my mother liked enid blyton- sure it wasn't exactly written in her time but when she got them, but she liked them- and my sister and I did too for a while I suppose, but we eventually grew up and don't think she's that great.
She was mildly disappointed, but horrified/ terrified at the prospect? Lol. No.
