Hahaha oh man, I have a similar worry about my (hypothetical) kids being into SPORTS. I mean, I want my kids to be fit and if they love that stuff I'll be supportive, but doesn't every parent want to relate to their kids? I don't get sports at all, lol.

Same thing if my kids end up being jocks or something. The fact is that I'd relate better to artsy or nerdy kids. And I'm afraid that my kids will think I'm really lame and embarrassing. D:

Anyway, lots of people like HP so the chances of your kids also liking it are pretty good! And if they don't, you'll love your kids anyway. Don't worry so much.
