Honestly, I have more social anxiety tendencies online in fandom than I do anywhere else. It might be because there are seemingly more people in fandom that are quick to judge people and go over the top over the smallest things. Not saying this is what it is, but how it seems sometimes.

For me, I end up finding online fandom friends away from fandom. Like meeting people who talk about more broad and general topics and then find out we have common fandom interests. I really don't talk to many people in fandom about fandom, unless it's just a one off conversation about a specific episode.
