I can't say I blame you anon. Please try to be a good friend and tell her why publishing something with vampires especially if it's coupled with romance might not be a good move to get positive attention as an talented author. With all the hype going on I can't help but block out it all out. I think I'm not getting excited about it for a long time. Before Bella & Edward all vampires were Bela Lugosi knock-offs with a bit of emo from Anne Rice. Unless you do something radically different, for example like Dresden Files did with taking all stereotypes and building three different groups from it or you go way back to the original legends (you know, when vampires could move safely at day? Or had to sleep in native soil?) then I would gladly read your book about a vampire & demon slayer born on a sunday. The rest is just meh at this point.
