That's common, actually. And it's not odd that you don't feel as "protective" of other fandoms. It happens, it feels horrible, and you just have to make sure it doesn't make you act like an elitist ass around new fans.

I don't share your love of the examples you provided, but I know the feeling and it can be reallllyyyy tough.

I could see G-Dragon or TOP making it. I wouldn't be surprised if they were in the works to make some sort of promotion happen.

I feel you. as stupid as it sounds, I really like being the only person (I know of) around who likes kpop/follows certain groups because it's just so different. yes, I will admit it: it makes me feel cool and special to know about this stuff when no one else does. embarrassing but there it is. and, as a transfer student at my new school this year, I was able to make friends with the korean foreign exchange students. /lame

luckily I feel like most people in america won't get into it because of the language thing, so there probably isn't anything to worry about, although all this ellen business kind of makes me nervous.

Oh yeah, I know what you mean. I mean, for me it's JPop, but it's kind of like a secret life for me, I guess? I don't know anyone else offline who loves it, so it's like my internet self is my cool alter ego who blogs and is an admin. /dork

But yeah, i agree; even if KPop and JPop groups try to make it here, I see it ending up like how Wonder Girls (though they are getting a TV thing on Disney Channel...). It'll be interesting to see if 2NE1 makes it, with support from Will.i.am.

I wish I hadn't told all my friends I like kpop most of them now look at me a bit funny. But I'm the opposite to you, I couldn't contain myself.

On your secret I only recognise Big Bang, SHINee and CNBlue. Is MBLAQ on there?

I find this attitude really annoying, but then I had a bad experience with it. I had a friend who liked to play music for me of songs he liked, but when I'd ask him who it was he'd never give me a straight answer. I asked him why and he'd say it was because he didn't want them to become popular. Fine, but who am I going to tell?? It's not like I have a big following or work for a popular blog or something. It pissed me right the hell off.
