Good for you? I have a hard time imagening him as a sexual being at all, haha.





(But Top!Starscream is always nice. I'm tired of him getting used as the default uke. A Starscream will always try to overthrow.)

A Starscream will always try to overthrow, but he usually doesn't succeed at it.

I picture him as bottoming while going on and on about how if he was topping, he'd totally do whatever it is that constitutes "topping" in the-robosex-method-of-your-choice way better, really, Megatron, you're useless old rust bucket with no skill at foreplay or sense of finesse and didn't you just hear me say "harder?" Are your aural sensors defective? If I were on top...

Is that episode 20? I had problems with how they made Starscream more pathetic than I think he was needed. Yeah, I know he was at his worst moment in his life and literally trapped, but I guess it just felt so...mood swing-ish when in previous episodes, he didn't back down to anyone no matter how bad his luck was (sans Megatron), but here, he's a simpering little bot (even if he makes ridiculously adorable puppy dog faces).

But that moment when he tricked and attacked Arcee was pure AWESOME. Gods, why is it taking so long for his toy to come? >

I really think that pathetic puppy act was just that, AN ACT. It worked to his advantage. Arcee played right into his claws.

I agree with you, anon, but I also found it kind of annoying to watch.

Which sux0rz, because the whole idea of a Starscream faking woobiedom is just so awesome given how much horrible woobie!Scream fic is out there.

(nota bene: I am not saying ALL fic that makes him honestly woobie is bad. Anything written well enough works.)

Hmm, I'm beginning to think this may be why I didn't like Episode 20 - I probably just don't like Woobie!Starscream. Granted, I think the puppy dog looks are adorable (hence my icon) and Episode 19 when he was down on his luck was amazing (mainly because I felt it was more justified there), but I just don't like what they did to Starscream.

I don't know, it's so hard to explain how I feel. ><

I like to think this as well. It's the REST of the episode's portrayal of him I had a problem with. The beginning of the episode implies Starscream had finally called it quits - he had enough of the whole scheming business and begrudgingly decided to accept his role as second-in-command and serve loyally to Megatron. The ending where he book ends his own quote gives more evidence that his words at the beginning were sincere (if not in that symbolic-ish sorta way). I was just so unconvinced he was being anything but true to his pathetic state and that's what bothers me.

So yeah, the part where he tricks Arcee, I do think he was being a trickster. That I agree with. Everything else, I...ahhh...well, what I said on the first paragraph.

I think he WAS done. Really I do. Then he was caught by the Autobots and Arcee pretty much gave him a free ticket to escape. He realized Megatron would have no idea where he is. He could run and let Megatron think he's an Autobot prisoner.

Starscream is such an opportunist. I can't see him NOT taking this chance. I just hope this doesn't mean we never see him again on the show either. Not after he told Breakdown "MY side or Megatron's" at the end of Operation Breakdown.

I think it's clear this isn't over yet (I hope not - Look, TF Prime writers, I know Starscream dies in almost every incarnation, but you guys gotta keep him alive for a looooooong time XD). He's neutral now and loyal only to himself. I admit, that really appeals to me and I really hope for something kickass.

Given Breakdown subtly hinted he may not enjoy the Decepticon force after the eye theft, him joining Starscream's side would make a lot of sense, actually.

I keep hoping this Screamer will break that tradition. I'll cry if he gets killed. He's my favorite Scream yet.

Nah... I think at least half the simpering is just good acting on his part. He seems like the type to do whatever he needs to to get what he wants, even if that's just to survive... He'll grovel if he feels he needs to.

Having said that, his scenes with Megatron seem to have a different feel to them - I think the fear is genuine there.

I agree. I've never found Starscream sexy until that scene.
