I haven't seen feminist stuff brought up in pony fandom before, but I will agree about the 'OMG WHY IS THERE GIRLY THINGS IN MLP THIS IS HORRIBLE'. I've mostly seen that with people complaining about the toy line and the 'Pinklestia monstrosity' that I've seriously seen people claim isn't selling at all. I've ranted more than a few times at idiots like that about the fact that Hasbro is giving the brony fandom a side-eye at best, and they better not expect to be catered to. Hell, it's a miracle that the animation staff even bothered with Ditzy Doo, and they're expecting every toy to be perfectly show-accurate?

I also love how they assume that the molded toys are ever-so-much more show-accurate, even though the only differences between the molded gift set and the playful ponies is the fact that they have molded hair and the other has brushable hair. (and the molded ones have, like, noses that're a centimeter longer..? I stared at both versions of Pinkie Pie I can't tell the difference except for that and the colors)

Also, hasbro has already stated that the molded/plastic-haired ponies DID NOT SELL VERY WELL. This means that if Hasbro even TRIED to cater to them by making "show accurate ponies", they'd probably go friggen bankrupt.

Yeah, that's a laugh and a half. I can understand them preferring molded hair due to them not having to be styled and fussed with the way brushables do, but the only one that was even remotely show accurate was Pinkie Pie. Mainly because HOW DO YOU FUCK UP A FRO-MANE. And slightly off-topic, but apparently there's a guy (http://otakusquirrel.deviantart.com/) who's working on creating custom molded hair for the mane six that he's going to see about getting casts make for them so he can re-make them easily for selling.

I kinda wondered about that, yeah. Obviously the blind bags are decent sellers, at least, since there's a second wave of those coming out, but calling those show-accurate is a freaking joke. I personally don't get why they didn't make an ACTUAL Fluttershy mold for those toys, but...eh. Probably they figured her design wouldn't match well for other ponies or something.
