[01] I enjoyed the movie but I'm still trying to find a copy of the book to read; my sister and some friends have recommended it to me. I figured I'd give it a shot - even if the book is better than the movie, it doesn't mean the movie sucked. The same with movie versions of comics. It's best to look at them as separate things. It makes it a more enjoyable fun in the end instead of wasting time slamming the movies with every little detail that is different from the original.

[02] Seriously, I've been looking forward to that movie for so long - it can't get here fast enough!

[19] Can we get Tom Baker back too, kthx? PS - My dad has that sweater vest. I'm still trying to get him to let me borrow it. And the giant-ass scarf. :3

19. I'm guessing that my dad must have had both at one point. But he's probably got rid of them now as, well... okay, personal anecdote time...

When he was at college, my father was innocently walking down the street minding his own business when a total stranger yelled 'Doctor Who!' after him. I've seen pictures of him (and his hairstyle) when he was in his early twenties and I can understand perfectly why this happened, and think he probably shouldn't have been encouraged to go outdoors wearing a sleeveless sweater and a huge scarf. And the haircut probably didn't do him any favors either. What? It was the 1970s.

Fear my dad, for he is made of awesome and bears a passing resemblance to Tom Baker. Though he has cut his hair since then.
