Well if they don't have zombies walking along the sea floor (and somehow magically not falling into crevasses/vents/getting torn apart by blunt damage or pressure/dissolved/eaten by microorganisms) it'll be a marked improvement ;p

Yeah yeah yeah realism in a zombie movie, I know. Also, hopefully there'll be more than two stories about women in a book about like 20 survivors. That'll be grand.

I agree about the women part, but I don't see any problem with the underwater zombies. I guess some of them would fall intro crevasses, but if that's the case, how were you going to know? Those zombies have disappeared. They root very slowly, so I guess they can cross half ocean without suffering damage. And yeah, pressure could destroy their brains and kill them, but what if they're just floating? I mean, it's impossible to walk underwater without weight, isn't it? I've always thought they were kind of floating until they could walk.

He explicitly mentions them walking across the sea floor and climbing anchors, so you'd have to ask Max Brooks how that's possible. I suppose his zombies don't float.

He says that some of them do float but that it takes them a while, it has something to do with decomposition and how the virus resists it.

Well, I don't have an answer for why they would not fall into vents or crevasses, but the books specifically states that most bacteria and microorganisms will not eat flesh infected with Solanum (that's why it takes them so long to decompose).
