Honestly I didn't understand the appeal either until I read up on the comics. A part of it is about how they're virtually complete opposites personality-wise but still such great friends since they understand each other, and the whole Civil War arc was priceless shipping material... the comic history is very rich and quite laden with history and homo-erotic moments.

I have to say it's not as much about the movies as you think... for this S/T fan at the very least. :)

Though granted I think people just like to lay down their stories with as many slash pairings as possible...

ie. I don't understand the appeal of Clint/Coulson

I can see it, but mostly I'm sour grapes because there's so many awesome relationships that Steve and Tony have with other characters that are more interesting but get overlooked because there's less slash potential.

Personally, I adore the dynamic that Steve has with Fury because of the whole old-war-buddy thing.

Within a matter of hours or at least minutes, she's so in love with her fucking self and her love for Optimus it would have come out fast. She's plain stupid and would go on and on about how much she loves Optimus. It would be a miracle if she got smart and posed as another fan and charmed everyone into believing she's not the crazed nutcase who loves the fictional character of Optimus Prime and claims his title of Prime as her own last name and claims she legally changed it when she can't. Anyone knows if you are a criminal, you can't change your name first and last unless you are in the FBI witness protection program. I doubt Bonita would even be able to go under an assumed name as she would forget and state her true name of Bonita Prime, Mrs. Optimus Prime on her bloody ugly ass videos that she does.

She probably does fake it to make people think she is this stupid rabid obsessive fan, instead of a smart person. But I seriously doubt that she could really pretend to be smart without reverting back to being a stupid moron of a fan. She's probably copying and pasting her journal posts into her word program to correct the spelling or sending it to her best friend LeathurKatt to correct so she sounded smarter than she really is.

Not wrong, because it's hard to see how someone's taste in music could ever be wrong exactly- but certainly looked down on by most people in the "metal community" and seen, fairly I think, as immature, commercialised, and soulless. And just bad. The point being that most metalheads wouldn't really care about j-pop, while a lot more would look down on her or judge her for Linkin Park or Killswitch Engage.

(But even then most people wouldn't care, I hasten to add. It would just mean she'd get a lot of ribbing)

Actually, I would imagine a lot of the reason there's so much disdain for nu-metal and related genres is because quite a lot of people seem to think bands like Avenged Sevenfold are metal. It reminds me of this joke actually:

Late to the party, but whatever: I say bullshit! A japanese living in Japan is of course privileged. A white in Japan? Is not. A Japanese in the US is not privileged, someone white is. Seems pretty easy to me, since beeing privileged means belonging to the Status quo, to get chances other people won't and to get treated better because of your heritage. How can anyone say this doesn't include a Japanese in Japan?

Same anon, just had to add this: The Japanese beeing a minority? Maybe in the Us or wherever else you talking about, but certainly not in Japan, which makes them the privileged party there.

The first I ever read of hers though was waayyy back when the last Night World book just came out. I loved it and then had to proceed to find the rest of the books she wrote in used stores and online (as I slowly became aware of the internet). I can forgive the Twilightization of the new covers because I can get a hold on all the titles she wrote I couldn't before.
