He said as a joke that he was reading fanfic and he may have commented on some slash fic once and he knew a bnf's screen name and outed her without realising what it meant.
In an later interview he said he used to look at what the fans were writing but he didn't anymore, Some fans swear blind that he has a tumblr account but at the last con he had no idea what tumblr was. He's also stated several times that he does not read his twitter replies. I think a lot of it is wishful thinking from the fans but that's only my pov.
I think this person may be alluding to his personality, I think you need an ego to be an actor, and it's pretty obvious from cons etc that he's interested in people generally and likes his fans. Having said that some of the things he says and does makes me cringe now and then.

(Anonymous) 2011-09-15 07:59 am (UTC)(link)he seems to be good enough at reading the situation 'cause he realised that he had overstepped boundaries and outing a screen-name was apparently v. bad. + he did treat her to a milkshake and apology later.
