Two things:

One, as many others have pointed out, there is no such thing as 'too old for Muppets.' Full stop.

Two, if the depression you're dealing with is as bad as you say, please trust me when I tell you that it is not a sign of weakness or failure to get help for it. I know exactly what that burden of sorrow that you can't seem to put down is like, and after getting therapy and taking meds (don't need them anymore now, but I still take supplements) let's just say I have a lot more Rainbow Connection moments now than I did when I was younger. :) Good luck.

This is a sweet comment. Thank you. ♥ I do actually take medicine and see a counselor regularly, and it's helped more than I can ever say. I have an awesome support system and I go to an awesome college and life is generally awesome, but after so many years of feeling so bad it's still hard for me to feel 100% genuinely happy at any given time. Almost like I'm afraid to let it happen, you know? Little things like listening to Muppet songs and watching silly detective shows on USA are going a long way toward helping me let myself feel okay.

I'm glad to hear that! And, yeah, I DO know that vague sense of "Wait, I'm happy? Things are fine? There's nothing to worry about? OMG SOMETHING TERRIBLE IS GOING TO HAPPEN ISN'T IT?!?!?" (Even now, I still sometimes fall for that one.)

Keep on being awesome. The battle with what Nick Drake called "the black-eyed dog" is a lifelong fight but over time you learn all kinds of ways to bop that little fucker on the nose and send it running. :)
