Agreed 100%. Yuna is my favorite heroine ever, and it's really a shame that she wasn't "officially" allowed to fill that role.

(I mean - to be the protagonist she had to become boy-crazy and vapid? WTF?)

So pining over ONE guy you loved who disappeared is boy-crazy now? And being cheerful and wearing a short skirt makes you vapid?

Throwing temper tantrums because someone who kind of looks like the guy you loved might have loved another girl is not in character for FFX's Yuna.

...this is a girl who devoted her entire life to dying. To sacrificing herself for the greater good. Being excessively cheerful whilst wearing very little clothing is fine and dandy, but it isn't Yuna. Rikku had that role filled already.

Yuna was bogged down with duty and her impending death in the first game, and even then there were scenes of her being cheerful and silly. As for the very little clothing - Rikku is the only girl her age she's regularly been around, so it's not a surprise she takes some of her cues from her. Not to mention, where they live looks like a hot, tropical area. Very little clothing is the norm there.

She's not vapid (wtf?) nor a Rikku-clone for finding joy in the world she saved and enjoying the life she never thought she'd get. And she's not boy-crazy for feeling jealous at the possibility that the only boy she ever loved might have loved someone else. The only boy she's crazy about in X-2 is still Tidus.
