of course i don't think i'm ever going to meet him or if i did that he'd be interested in me.

the reason so many people were mad - the reason i was mad - was that he never once in a single interview, press junkets, sound bite, feature, photoshoot, EVER mentioned or even alluded to having a wife. why was he intentionally hiding her? it just doesn't seem healthy. and to be honest, i wonder what SHE thinks about the way he acts around Scarlett.

I'm sorry, but why should he? I don't mention my spouse to clients (people in the same relationship to me as interviewers are to acrors) so why would you expect any actor to do that? Interviewers aren't his friends. It's called life work balance or retaining a little professionalism.

But like...why would he? If he's doing a press junket about Thor, or any other movie for that matter, why would he drop into the conversation about him having a wife/girlfriend if no one raises the question? And no one had.

It would be a bit weird if he's talking about Thor and then he would start spouting off about his girl.

And why not keep his relationship on the dl? It's none of our business and it just goes to show how fucked up our society has become in relation to fame and celebrity when people lose their shit because someone, someone not even *that* famous, doesn't mention they're in a relationship.

I do agree that he seems to be very handsy and flirtatious with women, but that's between him and his SO, not us.

p.s. It's just a tad ironic that you're worrying about what's healthy or not when your furious that a man you don't know didn't tell you he had a gf.

What? I mean, what??

You mean, in promoting a film, some random actor most people don't even know or care about didn't volunteer all of the details of his personal life? Because, as we all know, all actors and actresses are required to publicize everything they possibly can, no matter how inappropriate or unsolicited, for the benefit of their deluded fans!

You know what's healthy? Respecting your family's privacy and establishing personal/professional boundaries.

You know what's not healthy? Getting so upset and offended by what a person you don't even know does with his own life. Grow the hell up. "Intentionally hiding her?" "What SHE thinks about [something potentially scandalous yet most likely entirely imagined]." Do you realize how ridiculous you sound?

Have you considered that maybe neither of them wants to be flinging details of their private life around for the public eye? Or maybe they knew crazies of the sort mentioned in the secret exist and would squall about it and bash her? Actors don't live in a vacuum. I'd bet he knows exactly what kind of bad treatment the female SOs of attractive male celebrities get.

Why was he "hiding" her? Are you alien to the idea that the person he's in a relationship with is none of anyone's damn business?

Listen. No actor you like owes you anything. He doesn't OWE you honesty about his relationships, or owe it to his fans, because you do not know him. How do you know what is healthy in his relationship? You don't know. Just stop.

Maybe the reporters writing about or interviewing him were DOING THEIR JOBS CORRECTLY and focusing on their work. Anytime I've interviewed someone famous, I've always saved the personal questions for the end, and I've only made them general ones, like "Is there anything personally you'd like people to know about you, like are you dating someone particularly?" (for those I knew weren't married or already hooked up). Sometimes I've asked what experiences in their past have influenced their work, but that question is as much about school and past career as it is about family, lovers, etc.
