...I kind of like that. I mean, he used to point it out a bit ("No! I'm not going to do a Space Oddysey joke! It's what they want."), but I like that he doesn't go for the obvious jokes, or will pull a different reference that you didn't expect.

I'm still annoyed he didn't make a joke about the "B EATING U" licence-plate on Jeepers Creepers' truck. C'mon, there are so many jokes that could be made about a demon thing going into a DMV (or wherever you buy plates) to order personalized licence-plates. The jokes practically write themselves!

Here's a thought...

I get so annoyed when I hear someone say they missed an "obvious joke". What's "obvious" to one person might not be so "obvious" to another.

As I see it this guy seems to fuck with people's expectations, so he's not going to say what "everyone" is thinking.
