I was going to say something about this being a time-warp secret posted by my past self, and then I realized that it couldn't be, because I did hole up in my room and watch TV. At least towards the end, when I'd kind of given up.

I definitely tend to fill in details for minor characters with my own likes and stuff. I haven't done it for sexual history, but things like favorite foods and activities and stuff. It's just a fun way to write what you know. As long as it doesn't turn into blatant self-insert, more luck to ya.

So much agreement. I adored the Darkover series (still reread it upon occasion), and I was so excited that there would be more books. But they just don't measure up :(
I did manage to enjoy them, overall, but it wasn't close to being the same.

I watched this movie for the first time a few months ago, and that's what I wanted to think, too. I choose to think she originally stole Rapunzel for her hair, and grew to genuinely care for her. It's a shame Disney villains aren't allowed to be deeper, even when the opportunities are there.
