I was okay with the Clingfire Trilogy, but the Alton gift ticked me off because the whole time I wanted to like Domenic, because I really like Mik and Marguerida, but he was just so...I don't even know how to describe it. And Hastur Lord was just a mix of rage at Rinaldo and aawww at Danilo and Regis. I felt like that Marion Zimmer Bradley had written those parts and then Ross had come along and tried to fill in the gaps. And it just felt fanfictiony to me, because there was maybe a fifteen year gap between it and Exile's song, and NOBODY THOUGHT TO MENTION ANYTHING LIKE IT! I mean, I know Bradley was story over continuity, but Javanne, in particular, would have been different if those events had happened.

Sorry for the big long rant, I just feel strongly about it.
