Is there really a fandom? I've only looked casually, but never been able to find much. But anyway: I love Mark and Callie's friendship, and I love Arizona and Callie together. I kind of like the idea of all three of them being buddies, or even OT3, not that I think the show would ever go there, so I would totally get pissed off about Mark-bashing, too.

callie_arizona for Calzona. There are communities for other ships and a few general communities. I don't know about outside of LJ. Be warned, though, Callie-Arizona is the place where a lot of Mark bashing happens.

I'm not into the Calzona fandom (because I'm only into fandoms where the femslashing is based on subtext, so you know, what I want to see doesn't happen on screen :P), but I'a BIG fan of them as a couple and, in fact, I only started re-watching Grey's Anatomy when Arizona showed up (I had given up in season 2).

If it makes you feel any better, I LOVE Mark and I love their dynamics as a trio. I think his friendship with Callie is one of the most beautiful, meaningful and realistic of the show and I adore him with Arizona, it's sweet and hilarious.

So yeah, OP, who cares about most of the fandom's opinion? Stick to your own thoughts and don't let anyone ruin your show for you. :)

I kind of expect Mark bashing in the Calzona fandom. It just tends to happen when anyone threatens someone's OTP. What really bothers me is all the Callie bashing I see over there.

As a Mark/Lexie and Callie/Arizona shipper, I can't stand the Mark-bashing... it drives me nuts. I love Arizona, but Mark is more of a parent to that child than she is, and the fans have GOT to stop saying he's getting in the way. It's his CHILD. Goddamn.

I'm upset with the way they wrote Callie in season 7, because she honestly started to piss me off a lot... but I think now that the focus is going back to the original 5, she'll go back to being one of my favourites. I hope.

I do disagree with you that Mark is more of a child than Arizona. Parenting isn't just blood, and right now the three of them are equal parents. Whenever Mark ends up with someone serious, I hope that person will also be just as much of a parent, and I hope that person is Lexie. But as much as the Mark bashing pisses me off, ignoring Arizona's role as parent is not the right way to go.

I don't like Mark. I think he's hot, and that's about it. I don't think I ever liked him. Even before Calzona.

But there is some nasty bashing in the fandom, that's for sure.
