As a newcomer to the Transformers fandom, is Transformers: Prime good? Or am I liking something that's a horrible tumor of a contribution to Transformers canon?

Not a long time TF fan (I've been in the fandom for a good year now), but honestly, I think it's average. It seems like every time it pulls off high quality episodes, it counters with an average or just an all-around bad one. I personally like Transformers Animated and Beast Wars better. I really hope Season 2 ups the ante though, I really want to like TF Prime.

You'll have plenty of company in liking TFP. I've run across few people who hate it, and while it may not be the BEST THING EVAR, I still think it's pretty good. C:

I've been a TF fan since the 80s. My personal favorite Transformers show is Beast Wars, but I am really liking Prime so far, so I'd say it's my second favorite. It does start off slow (I wasn't sure if I liked it at first,) and takes itself a bit seriously, so it's not for everyone, but it's in no way bad. It has some fantastic new and reinvented characters (Starscream, etc) and hasn't finished its first season yet, so it has a lot of promise yet.

So, 1. yes 2. no.

Besides, everyone knows the real tumor is Kiss Players.
